Texting
Texting can lead to many different things. It can lead to texting during school, while driving, text bullying and even sexting.
Texting is addicting, most teens text all day. Even during school. When you text during school it can lead to cheating. By sending people answers on test. It is also just a distraction to yourself, so you don’t pay attention during class your just worried about what your friends are telling you. Most schools have a cell phone rule. Like you can get your phone taken away if seen out or it has to be off all day.
If you text while you drive it is illegal in most all states. When you text and drive you get distracted, so your not alert of what other cars are doing around you or what the pedestrians are doing. 46% of drivers under 18 admit to texting while driving, 25- to 50% of all car accidents involve someone was texting.
Texting can lead to bullying. Text bullying involves someone sending mean, embarrassing, untrue or hurtful messages to or about somebody. Text bullying has become more common than traditional bullying. This is most common in girls.
Some people send pictures of themselves that aren’t appropriate to others. This is called ‘sexting’. Sexting is most common in teens. People who receive nude or half nude pictures can be charged with child pornography. About 20% of teens admitted they have participated in ‘sexting’. This is a felony and you can face many years in prison.
I think that this essay is a well put together essay. I would leave out the “you’s”. I felt like most of the information came from you instead of looking it all up and that is good to know what you are writing. J
